Healthcare Organization Stresses Colorectal Cancer Awareness

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.  Now, if you suffer from hemorrhoids, you may wonder why exactly you should take note of this or of the fact that a group has created a huge colon that people can actually walk through.  The reason is that hemmroids are just one disease of the colon.  There are others, including colorectal cancer, that few people really know about or understand the risks of.  While you may not want to walk through the forty foot long replica of the colon on display at the Detroit Science Center to learn about these risks, you should at least read up on them on the internet.  It’s important that you know what hemorrhoids look like and what symptoms you may experience with them so you can correctly treat them.  It’s also important to know what tests you should get to determine how healthy your colon is.
